Till We Have Faces by C.S Lewis

I finished this book and a quote really stuck out to me. “How can they meet us face to face till we have faces?” After reading this book and the scene of the book she spent writing turns into a small sad thing. Where her expertise in language is stripped away because she was using it as armor to justify herself and distorting her true motives. Motives of selfishness, ugliness and possessiveness comes to the forefront. Makes me realize what am I shoving deep down and what things have I distorted when it comes to love? Ultimately those skewed ways I see myself and reality prevents me from coming face to face with the Lord and my fellow humans.
