When my heart is fueled by rage and its flames engulfs my thoughts, you are the cooling waters that leads me to gentleness

When my heart is frigid and my actions are cold to others, you are the light that warms me to be kind

The times I feel discouraged I know there are brighter days as I remain close to you

Oh Father of Heavenly Lights you remain unchanging, your goodness endures forever

While I may be like the ocean currents which shift depending on the day

You are the sun who rises in the morning and sets in the evening

Although I may not see you and feel like you are hiding from me during the night

You are just over the horizon

All I must do is wait for you Lord
