Relationship with Photography

I’m trying to be a good steward of the gifts that you God have given me. I naturally gravitate capturing candids and easily missed moments. I love to see the subjects during the resting points on when people have that social mask off. Unfortunately, a camera only makes someone reach for that mask quickly.
I guess this is on my mind due to serving on the communication team. I took photos for the church and did an engagement photo shoot for my cousin these past two days. I often take a very passive role when capturing photos, so actively directing people on how to pose and the burden of making the subject feel comfortable is an area I can grow in. This was highlighted especially during the engagement photo shoot. While for shooting for the church it came pretty natural due to it being a similar environment to when I started photography for yearbook.
Just thinking that this hobby, which has been a constant presence in my life, started because an English teacher recommended me for yearbook due to my performance on a speech assignment. My own origins in photography has been a passive one, but pursuing and keeping up with it has been an active one. Even your hands were in this Lord so let me be a good steward of this gift you have given me. Please give me the courage to me be bold to use it for you.
