WoW portrayal of The Light

I had a conversation about WoW lore last night with my friends Devan and Tyler. The conversation ended up on religion and my perspective on it as a Christian. My opinion of it is it's a enticing and engaging story but I think how the Light is portrayed might come off to a non-believer as a harmful direct comparison to Christianity. How Devan and Tyler explained the Light, it might not be entirely good. I think in this modern culture there is a trend of having nuanced villains and heroes which I absolutely love when a writer explores those complexities.It showcases the human condition and helps people explore aspect of themselves or put into form emotions and feeling they have been experiencing alone. But when there is such a direct comparison to God, people can easily misplaced characteristics of The Light in WoW to God in harmful ways. It seems to me that The Light is not all-knowing, not all-loving and actually might have harmful ulterior motives and those difference in themselves make it incomparable to God.
