Stewarding Gifts

The café at the church is undergoing construction right now, so I am left with idle hands for the next 8 weeks. It’s got me thinking about the tangible skills I have, beyond the soft skills you, Lord, have already given me. My heart is leaning towards the communication team at the church. I can put my skills in photography and website development to use there.
I think that I have put a lot of emphasis on the knowledge portion about my relationship with Christ, which is good, but what good is a sharpened tool if it will never be used? Knowing what pleases you has highlighted where I am being a bad steward of these gifts you’ve given me. Otherwise I thank you, Lord, for pressing this upon me. By knowing these gifts come from you, it helps me to be courageous to utilize and develop them.
'Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. '
Psalms 1:1-3
